3 January 2012
After three years of missed opportunity to return to the place of memories, at last I got the chance to go back to the Assumption church on Christmas Eve. Accompanied by my very best school friends to the same old place brought back lots of good memories when we were there together.
Every year on Christmas Eve, there will be a Christmas event at the church from evening until midnight when the Eucharistic Celebration begins. The purpose of this celebration is to give most genuine thanks to Jesus and for the unity of Christianity. When we entered the place in the night, it was full of people and the happiness was floating in the air. People were enjoying the time by watching the stage show and playing games in the booth with their friends or family. We separated from the crowd and entered into the church, which was the main purpose of our journey. It gave me a great nostalgic feeling when I went inside and saw familiar scenes of a golden high curved roof and the colored glass windows. The atmosphere inside was completely different from the event outside, it was so peaceful and calm which gave me time to appreciate the past year, pray for goods in the following year and meet my inner peace again.
For me, Christmas is the most precious time of the year because you can feel love and joy so clear everywhere you go. Christmas is all about being with your loved ones and to give thanks for the good year that has passed. It is also about giving to others with sincerity and good regards. I am sure that everyone would wish for having many Christmas days if they could. Broadgate will try to make this wish comes true by doing our best to make each day a Christmas Day for our clients and partners through continuously giving our best with most sincerity.
As a member of the Broadgate family, I will also do my best to support our clients, partners and Broadgate’s family members. In this joyful time of the year, I wish everyone peace and happiness.
“Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
For loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
Like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself…”
-Norman Wesley Brooks, “Let Every Day Be Christmas”, 1976
