Last Tuesday, I had the chance to visit The Pattaya Redemptorist School of Blind with my boss to help Khun Chatchai with his toy for the blind. I had a very good time there and gained a positive impression from all the lovely blind kids. It was more than just a great time and experience from spending time with the children but it also made me know about a very special wealth, which I would like to call ‘mental wealth’.
When you look at people with disabilities, you might automatically feel sorry for them with the idea that they lack many things that normal people can have. But when I met blind children in Pattaya, I realized that those kids are actually very wealthy. This wealth is so special because the more you share your wealth with others, the wealthier you become. Moreover, it is the infectious wealth that one can share with others as well. This wealth I talked about is love, understanding and accepting. These blind children showed me how happy they are with their way of living even though they lose their ability to see with their eyes but they gained a gift to see things with the heart. That’s why they can love things easily when they are able to see through physical appearances and see things by true identity. At the end of the day, I got wealthier as well when the kids shared their love to me and naturally I gave my love back to them, which finally came back to me twice as much!
I strongly believe what’s more important to our lives than physical wealth as money and luxury assets but mental wealth of love is needed to fulfill people lives and make them become completely human. My advice is that you shouldn’t wait or hesitate, start investing in love today and you can quickly become a millionaire of love too.
