Servcorp Virtual Office

27 January 2012

Last Thursday, I attended Autour du Zinc networking cocktail, an event from Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce held at the Anantara.  When I arrived there, the place was full with French people and it was really hard for me to understand what they were talking about.  I wished I studied French!

Fortunately I found some Thai people to chat to.  I met Khun Natnaree Uriyapongson, Trainee Manager at Servcorp, which operates just one floor above our office in Centralworld.  I was so surprised how close we are to each other and I was very interested about her company.  Last Monday, I went to visit Khun Natnaree on the 29th floor and she escorted me to see all the places.  Servcorp provides virtual office services for companies that doesn’t need a big space to operate or a company that needs only an address that clients can contact without a real office space.

I was surprised how organized the whole floor is and amazed with the number of virtual office clients it has to take care of.  Khun Natnaree’s role is to Manage of all virtual office clients which  totals more than 200 companies.

This is the interview between me and Khun Nutnaree.

Q: How long have you been working for Servcorp?

A: I have been here since October 2010 and it is my first job since I graduated from the Faculty of Art at Chulalongkorn University.

Q: What is your first position in Servcorp?

A: I applied for Secretary at the first place and I worked in the position at Silom branch and I got promoted as a manager in Central World branch since 3 months ago.

Q: What is the best experience that you gained from working in Servcorp?

A: I got to work in a challenging field where I was required to contact many people from different businesses according to Servcorp’s client request.  I also gained experience in socializing from attending networking events.

Q: What is your working goal this year since you are promoted to be a manager?

A: Right now, it has been only 3 months since I stayed in this position and also worked in a different place so there are so many more things for me to learn.  I realize that I need to improve myself more in many aspects.  My short term goal is to improve myself and become a better manager.

Q: What is your view on investing and how it is important to your life?

A: It’s the foundation of life and business because in my point of view, nothing you can gain if you haven’t invested first.  In order for you to get some return, you need to take a risk and take care of the problem.  You have to look beyond the price or short term goal and aim at your long term future.

Q: What is your motto?

A: Open mind to business is the key to success. Learn to listen and understand every option provided so you can find the best solution.
